Our aims with these proposals are to address the Minimum Funding Standard (MFS) deficit and ensure the Scheme does not go ‘off track’ once again:

Address the deficit on a cost neutral basis with the minimal impact on members.
Ensure the changes are Fair and Reasonable to all members.
Enable the Scheme to be sustainable in the long term.
Satisfy the Funding Standard – place the Scheme in a position to meet its regulatory requirements, namely meet the funding standard and funding standard reserve within an agreed period approved by the Pensions Authority.
