What's behind this initiative
Our aims with these proposals are to address the Minimum Funding Standard (MFS) deficit and ensure the Scheme does not go ‘off track’ once again:
- Address the deficit on a cost neutral basis with the minimal impact on members.
- Ensure the changes are Fair and Reasonable to all members.
- Enable the Scheme to be sustainable in the long term.
- Satisfy the Funding Standard – place the Scheme in a position to meet its regulatory requirements, namely meet the funding standard and funding standard reserve within an agreed period approved by the Pensions Authority.
